The etymological origin of the term cartography derives from Latin and implies the combination of the words "map" and "write". Cartography can be defined as that science that deals with the study of geographical maps and their realization. It is a science that has existed for centuries and that has been and is very useful for the geographical and spatial location of the human being.
Every GPS device includes base maps that the user uses to define his position, mark points and draw tracks and routes.
A multitude of cartography is available at regional, European and world level, to install on your GPS using the microSD card, or to load on your device through your PC. With the appropriate software you can plan your routes and excursions in detail.
