Characteristics:This type of watch with compass inside was introduced in the XV century, they were the first portable shadow clocks. The compass was used to point the quadrant to the north, and instead the gnomon (the piece of rope that we see in the middle part) was lowered or raised depending on the latitude in which the compass was used.
