Diagonal prisms and mirrors

The diagonal mirrors and prisms are responsible for reflecting the image 90º upwards, preventing the observer from having to twist his neck when he is observing.

Observation in refracting telescopes, Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov requires first of all comfort, and the diagonal mirrors and prisms reflect the image 90º just so that the observer can visualize it naturally, without turning the neck.

This system is not valid on reflecting or Newtonian telescopes
