An eyepiece is the part of the telescope that will be the contact with our eye, it will be the one that will give us the necessary magnification for the observations. There are fixed and zoom eyepieces, as well as wide-angle, widely used in digiscoping techniques.

Eyepieces cannot be used with other brand bodies. The same brand of eyepiece must always match that of your telescope as each brand makes its own bayonet design. In addition, it would not make much sense that the eyepieces could be exchanged since we would be losing benefits.
