The meteorological sentry box or also known as a caseta or meteorological box contributes to the protection of our meteorological instruments against inclement weather; either from heavy rainfall or from solar radiation.
It is made of wood, painted white and located 1.5m from the ground. There are two models, one with a single blind and the other with a double blind. The double blind offers better ventilation and isolation from outside radiation, this is the model used by professional meteorological observatories.
In it we can put all kinds of instruments such as: temperature and humidity sensors from our digital weather station, barometers, psychrometers, maximum and minimum thermometers, etc. In addition, we can take advantage of the structure of our sentry box and add a rain gauge and / or an anemometer to its outer sides.
